Description
Daniel Oren leads the orchestra and chorus in Laurent Pelly's updated staging of Meyerbeer's opera, recorded live at London's Royal Opera House in 2012.
Regarded as one of the first grand operas when it was premiered at the Paris Opéra in 1831, 'Robert' became a firm favourite with audiences across Europe during the 19th century.
Bryan Hymel takes the title role, with additional performances from Patrizia Ciofi, John Relyea, and Marina Poplavskaya.
