Documentary about one of the deadliest air crashes of all time.
On 28th November 1979, Air New Zealand flight 901 carrying 237 passengers and 20 crew members crashed into the side of Mount Erebus whilst on a sightseeing tour of Antarctica.
Within hours, police officers and the U.S. Navy were called to brave the harsh conditions and the mountain terrain as they were tasked with recovering the victims of the fatal crash.
As the salvage continued, investigators tried to uncover the mystery of how a passenger jet could fly straight into a mountain in broad daylight.
