Wim Wenders directs this exploration of authorship in the post industrial age by following the work and life of Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto.
The cameras follow his musings on cities, his approach to fashion, people (women in particular), fitting and correcting designs with the models and preparing for big presentations.
The film is a reflection on making clothes and making images.
