Description

Jennifer Connelly and Ben Kingsley star in this US crime drama based on Andre Dubus III's novel.

Massoud Amir Behrani (Kingsley), an Iranian immigrant living in California, becomes embroiled in a legal dispute with recovering drug addict Kathy (Connelly).

The dispute concerns a house which Massoud has bought and which Kathy lost unfairly to the county.

Neither Kathy nor Massoud has broken the law, so they find themselves involved in a difficult moral dilemma, with tragic consequences.
