Schofield & Sims English Skills provides graded questions that develop pupils' literacy skills at Key Stage 2.

Key areas are constantly revisited, giving pupils the intensive practice that is essential if they are to become fully literate.

Every Schofield & Sims English Skills book is divided into three sections, each comprising 12 one-page tests covering spelling, word structure, vocabulary, sentence formation, punctuation and grammar.

Each section also contains two tasks providing a tailor made context in which pupils may apply their developing skills.

English Skills 2 is for pupils who can use simple conjunctions to write compound sentences.

They can spell correctly most high-frequency words and use spelling strategies to spell those that are less familiar.

Designed for Year 3, this book may also be used with older or younger pupils.

It helps pupils learn to: use conjunctions, open sentences in different ways, chose words for impact and precision, adapt some spellings when adding a suffix, spell medium frequency words and use apostrophes in shortened forms.
