In 'Across the Andes by Frog' a famed scientist tries to study the migration habits of a species of frog, while being constantly disturbed by local customs. 'The Curse of the Claw' is about a family affected by a deadly Burmese curse.
In 'Whinfrey's Last Case', German spies menace a peaceful Cornish village. 'Golden Gordon' sees a fanatical football fan try to round up veteran players to save his beloved team.
Finally, in 'Roger of the Raj' a humble chemist finds himself caught up in the Indian uprising.
