Description

Historian David Starkey presents this three-part Channel 4 documentary focusing on Winston Churchill and his ancestor John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough.

The programme examines the history of the two relatives who both led Britain to war, including chronicling how Winston came to write an extensive biography of his famous ancestor and how his interest in the 17th and 18th century shaped his own time as a politician and wartime leader.

The episodes are: 'The Choice', 'The March to War' and 'Grand Strategies'.
