Description

A collection of classic features from the iconic British film studio. 'Death Drives Through' (1935), directed by Edward L.

Cahn, tells the story of race car designer Kit Woods (Robert Douglas), who is in love with Kay Lord (Chili Bouchier), much to the disapproval of her father. 'The Impassive Footman' (1932), directed by Basil Dean, traces the unfolding of a love triangle involving Grace Marwood (Betty Stockfeld), her hypochondriac husband John (Allan Jeayes) and the cruise ship medical officer she falls in love with, Bryan Daventry (Owen Nares).

In 'Frieda' (1947), directed by Basil Dearden, an English pilot marries the German girl who helped him escape a prison camp and the pair move to Britain, where the arrival of the girl's brother causes a stir.

Finally, 'Cage of Gold' (1950), again directed by Dearden, follows a young bride who decides to remarry after her husband's death only to receive a shock when he comes back from the grave to demand money from her.
