Description

This collection of ten facsimile titles, chosen from our imprints Pinter, Mansell and Continuum, covers a broad variety of themes that confronted Europe throughout the turbulent twentieth century, focusing on European politics abroad as much as on inter-European political changes and challenges.

The titles in this set examine the development of Britain from Empire to Commonwealth, paying particular attention to the inter- and post-war years, the emergence of the European Union and the struggles faced by former Soviet states in the 1990s.

They also pick up on two of the leitmotifs of the 20th century: the quest for sovereignty and the rise and fall (and rise) of extreme right ideas and politics.

All titles are available as set or as individual volumes.
