The Richard Strauss Collection DVD

Collection of seven Richard Strauss operas, specially selected by his family to celebrate his 150th birthday.

Daniel Harding conducts the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in 'Salome', recorded in Milan in 2007.

Claudio Abbado leads the Vienna State Opera Orchestra in a 1989 production of 'Elektra'. 'Der Rosenkavalier', recorded at the Bayerische Staatsoper in 1979, stars Gwyneth Jones, Brigitte Fassbaender and Lucia Popp with Carlos Kleiber conducting. 'Ariadne Auf Naxos' is performed at the 1965 Salzburg Festival with Karl Böhm conducting the Wiener Philharmoniker.

Peter Seiffert, Luana DeVol and Alan Titus are among the cast for a 1992 production of 'Die Frau Ohne Schatten', conducted by Wolfgang Sawallisch at the Aichi Art Theatre in Nagoya, Japan.

The Deutsch Oper Berlin's performance of 'Die Liebe Der Danae', filmed in 2011, stars Manuela Uhl, Mark Delavan and Matthias Klink with Andrew Litton leading the Orchestra and Chorus.

Finally, Ulf Schirmer conducts the Orchestra of the Opéra National de Paris in a 2004 performance of 'Capriccio'.
