Dieser Band thematisiert die Entwicklung der Medizinischen Fakultat und der Universitatskliniken, der Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftlichen Fakultat sowie der Landwirtschaftlichen Fakultat.

Daruber hinaus werden die Bonner Lehrerausbildung mit der fruheren Padagogischen Fakultat sowie die Rolle der Zentralen Wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen in den Blick genommen.
