Description
A collection of British sex comedies from the 1960s and '70s, including two short documentaries looking at the rise of the bikini swimsuit.
Compton Bennett directs the short feature 'How to Undress in Public Without Undue Embarrassment' (1965), where the act of undressing in public is explored.
The cast includes Jon Pertwee. In 'White Cargo' (1977) David Jason stars as Albert Toddey, a clumsy middle-aged civil servant who becomes caught up in the search for Stella (Imogen Hassall), a girl from a Soho strip club who has been abducted and sent to the Middle East.
In 'Sunshine Sweethearts - 50s Bikini Girls!' (1959) a number of models display the bikini swimsuit.
In 'Not Tonight Darling' (1971) bored housewife Karen (Luan Peters) has grown tired of the inattention from her husband (Jason Twelvetrees) and the mundane nature of their suburban life.
Longing for excitement, she falls for the charms of Australian businessman Alex (Vincent Ball).
However, Karen gets more than she bargained for when it turns out that Alex willingly uses coercion to get what he wants.
As Karen becomes drawn into an underground world of pornography and blackmail, will she embrace her new life or long for her old one?
In 'Games That Lovers Play' (1971), set in 1920s London, two rival brothel owners, Lady Chatterly (Nan Munro) and Mrs Hill (Diane Hart), have a dispute over whose girls provide the greatest satisfaction to customers.
They agree on a bet to decide the argument and each select their best girl to work their charms on a randomly selected member of the public.
Straight-laced wine merchant Mr Lothran (Richard Wattis) suddenly finds himself pursued by the alluring Fanny Hill (Joanna Lumley) and Constance Chatterly (Penny Brahms), and can't quite believe his luck.
Finally, 'Miss Bikini' (1951) is a promotional film for the newly launched bikini swimsuit.
