Musical biopic of the clarinetist known as the 'King of Swing', Benny Goodman.

Featuring all his most memorable music, the story follows Goodman (Steve Allen) from his childhood in Chicago up until his historic concert at Carnegie Hall in 1938.

Includes guest appearances by many of the great performers of the era including members of Goodman's band (Gene Krupa, Teddy Wilson, Ben Pollack, Edward 'Kid' Ory and Lionel Hampton) along with Harry James, Martha Tilton and Ziggy Elman.
