My countrymen, and through all the British dominions, the knowledge Of god through our Lord jesus christ, and Of Ourselves, as the same is revealed in the Scriptures; for whose good I heartily wish that it were more complete than it is: For though it be called in the title page, A Complete Concordance, poor sinful man can do nothing absolutely perfect and complete, and therefore the word complete is only to be taken in a comparative sense: yet competent judges are of opinion that the method here taken is the best which has appeared in our lan guage.
