Description

This is Anne Bradford's seventh collection of true ghost stories from the Worcestershire area, she has been collecting eye-witness accounts of strange events since 1992, when she was inspired by a Victorian collection of ghost stories in the archives of her local library.

Illustrated by Glenn James with drawings which have a gothic interest and a bohemian streak, each chapter deals with a specific region with anecdotal narratives of unexplained phenomena.

The many short stories include The Powick Poltergeist (Worcester), The Hound of Cofton Lane (The Lickey Hills), Faggots and Phantom Footsteps (Upton-on-Severn) and The Growling Ghost (Bordesley Abbey).
