Description

A triple pack of behind-the-scenes music documentaries. 'Mayor of Sunset Strip' (2003) focuses on the rock manager, journalist, promoter and club owner Rodney Bingenheimer, following his 20-year career at the heart of the Los Angeles music scene.

Responsible for promoting some of the biggest acts in the world, including David Bowie, Iggy Pop, the Smiths and Coldplay, the documentary features interviews with musicians, friends and with the man himself. 'The Devil and Daniel Johnston' (2005), is a moving portrait of the artist, a manic depressive, who struggles to overcome his problems through writing deeply personal and poetic songs.

Contributions from friends and family help to build an intimate portrait of the man, who later developed into a successful, and prolific, visual artist. 'The Ramones: End of the Century' (2002), traces the career of the New York punks, from their early days at CBGB's, to their acrimonious break-up, and examines their lasting musical legacy.
