Description

A collection of five Westerns directed by Budd Boetticher and starring Randolph Scott.

In 'The Tall T' (1957) Scott stars as Pat Brennan, who is forced to take the stagecoach after losing his horse in a bet along with newly-weds Doretta and Willard Mims (Maureen O'Sullivan and John Hubbard), before finding themselves held hostage by a trio of ruthless outlaws led by Frank Usher (Richard Boone).

After learning from the cowardly Willard that Doretta is the daughter of the richest man in the state, Usher sends him to demand a ransom.

As they wait for the money to be paid, Brennan, realising that both his and Doretta's lives hang in the balance, tries to turn the outlaws against themselves in one last, desperate bid for freedom.

In 'Decision at Sundown' (1957) Scott stars as Bart Allison, who arrives in the town of Sundown planning to kill Tate Kimbrough (John Carroll), the man he believes is responsible for the death of his wife.

He finds Kimbrough and warns him he is going to kill him - but then gets pinned down in the livery stable with his friend Sam (Noah Beery) by Kimbrough's stooge Sheriff Swede Hansen (Andrew Duggan) and his men.

When Sam is shot in the back after being told he could leave safely, some of the townsmen change sides and disarm the sheriff's men - forcing him to face Allison alone.

Taking care of the Sheriff, Allison injures his gun hand, and must now face Kimbrough left-handed.

In 'Buchanan Rides Alone' (1958) Scott stars as Tom Buchanan, a Texan who sets off on a journey from Mexico to his home with the money he needs to start his own ranch.

When Buchanan stops off in the town of Agry, he's robbed of his earnings and framed for a crime he did not commit.

In 'Ride Lonesome' (1959) Scott stars as Ben Brigade, a bounty hunter with a wanted murderer in tow named Billy John (James Best).

His course does not run smooth, however, as on the way to Santa Cruz where Billy is set to be hanged; Brigade saves a woman from an Indian attack.

Enlisting the help of a couple of local fugitives, Brigade intends to continue his onward journey but the Indians show no sign of surrender.

With the fugitives looking to enact their own agendas and Billy John's brother fast approaching to save him from his fate, Brigade will have to overcome several impossible situations if he is to get his captured criminal safely to Santa Cruz.

In 'Comanche Station' (1960) Scott stars as Cody, a loner who rescues a settler's wife who has been kidnapped by Comanche Indians.

When they return to civilisation, however, they are confronted with a gang led by Ben Lowe (Claude Akins), whose aim is also to perform a kidnapping in order to get their hands on a reward.
