A collection of newsreel footage featuring the popular music hall entertainer.

Gracie Fields made her first stage appearance at the age of five and quickly became a star of the West End.

Though she was diagnosed with cancer in 1939 she fought the disease and helped to entertain the troops alongside figures including Bob Hope and Arthur Askey, who are also captured in the newsreel footage.
