Achieve for University Physics with Prelectures DO

Macmillan's new online resource, Achieve University Physics with Prelectures, combines a robust physics assessment system with tutorials that help students grasp essential topics before class.

The Achieve question bank features over 3,000 questions—including conceptual, computational, graphing, and symbolic questions—that test a range of skills and topics in calculus-based physics. Each question comes with hints, answer-specific feedback, and fully-worked solutions, to coach students toward understanding core physics principles and applications.

Developed by Todd Ruskell using the framework from the University of Illinois, the Achieve Prelecture videos were designed using education research to present topics in an easy-to-understand way, leading to increased overall perception of the course and student performance.
Prelecture videos and Bridge questions prepare students for more meaningful class time and give instructors insights into students’ conceptual strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to address misconceptions or tailor lecture time appropriately.

Achieve University Physics with Prelectures can be paired with a Macmillan textbook, OpenStax University Physics, or a list of supported textbooks. Instructors can save time with grading while maintaining flexibility with our custom question authoring tool, and intuitive course management features.
