Description
Barbara Sukowa stars in the title role of this biographical drama, written and directed by Margarethe Von Trotta.
The film traces the life of Polish revolutionary socialist Rosa Luxemburg, depicting her activism and arrests in Poland and Germany, her founding of the anti-war Spartacus League with Karl Liebkecht (Otto Sander) during the First World War and her subsequent capture and execution in 1919.
