Die offentliche Sorge fur die Gesundheit der Bevolkerung hat in der Covid-19-Pandemie von neuem ihre Relevanz und ihre Probleme gezeigt.

Sichtbar wurden Problemlagen der Gesundheitssysteme und der internationalen Gesundheitsgerechtigkeit, der politischen und okonomischen Einbettung der Gesundheitsvor- und -fursorge, aber auch der Krankheitsdeutungen und der Korperpraktiken.

Als Thema der Ethik erfordert Offentliche Gesundheit (Public Health) eine systematische Bearbeitung, in der medizinethische Probleme mit Fragestellungen der Sozialethik, der politischen Ethik und der Ethik der Lebensfuhrung im Zusammenhang zu betrachten sind.

So verbindet der Band sozial- und medizinethische, rechtliche, historische, korpertheoretische sowie arbeitssoziologische Analysen mit theologischen Perspektiven. The volume combines social and medical-ethical, legal, historical, body-theoretical and work-sociological analyses with theological perspectives.
