Description
Michael Schønwandt conducts the Royal Danish Orchestra in this politically-charged performance to mark the 150th anniversary of the composer Nielsen.
David Pountney directs this biblical story of the demise of King Saul of Israel (Johan Reuter) as he fails to adhere to the word of God and is tormented by his jealously of David (Niels-Jørgen Riis), who defeats the giant Goliath and earns the respect of Saul's people.
