Springtime and the Easter Bunny Hunt Hardback
Illustrated by Jacqueline Tee
Springtime and the Easter Bunny Hunt takes the reader on a fun-filled adventure with Ludo, the black spaniel, and his friends.
Beautifully illustrated, it is designed to be educational and engaging for children, whilst including subtle humour for adults. Teaching typical symbols of nature during a British springtime, it is intended to generate an interest in wildlife, gardens and the countryside and promote a desire to both explore and care for them. The book has a strong plot with the key characters being hares, rabbits, a squirrel and a variety of wild birds. It educates on basic morals and good manners through the activities of the key characters along with two young children and their dog Ludo who join in the fun.
The emphasis is on the importance of friendship, kindness and helping others.
It touches on a range of emotions experienced by children and gives simple insight into the effects of trauma - something which can affect children and adults alike. The author hopes to encourage consideration and compassion for pets and respect for wildlife, principles which are equally important in our relationships with humans.
At the same time, the book maintains a fun and light-hearted storyline which, combined with the delightful illustrations, should appeal to both children and adults alike.
