These designs were made for the decoration of textiles, but are generic in the sense that they are typical of a graphic style from that period.
The style represented by these designs is very `modern' in nature.
It has more in common with the styles that emerged in the 1930s than with the Art Nouveau style that was in vogue at the time they were made.
