Description

All three episodes of the historical documentary narrated by Saskia Reeves which explores the actions of Cold War spies during the 1980s and the influence they had over the actions of those in power.

Oleg Gordievsky, a former colonel in the KGB, became a double agent and provided information to British Intelligence for years, but his life was endangered when Aldrich Ames, the head of Soviet counterintelligence for the CIA, turned traitor and betrayed him to the KGB.

Archival audio recordings and interviews with former political aides and intellience officers from the UK, USA and Russia are featured.
