- Information
Description
This handbook places Mycenaean pottery in its archaeological and historical background in a way that is intended to be useful to practical archaeologists and to students.
Mountjoy expands on the material covered in her 1986 thesis to include material from different areas of Greece, allowing an examination of the exchange and trade of Mycenaean pottery.
Particular emphasis is given to the definition of ceramic phases, for although imprecise, changes in pottery style are a useful chronological measure for the Aegean Bronze Age.
